An H&M Mock Neck Sweater: A Keeper

Fall made a comeback this week, and I am not mad about it. Sweater weather! This H&M mock neck sweater is one of my favorite pieces. I am so happy I bought it when I did. It’s from either their 2017 F/W line or 2018 Spring line. Most likely the former.

When I think about it, at the time, I hadn’t come into my personal style as much as I have now, but pieces like this sweater speak to the consistency that’s always been there.

The weight of this sweater feels like a hug. The tapered, oversized sleeves make things interesting, and it’s just the right length and shape to tuck in the front or leave out. I have slightly broad shoulders, which I’m conscious of at times, but I always feel at home in this sweater.

A far as composition, I was surprised when I checked the tag to find it’s 60% polyester. It could be the 5% wool that contributes to the high-quality feel. I’m working on building a polyester-free wardrobe, with the exception of my workout clothes, but this sweater is a keeper! It’s held up nicely over the years with standard care, however, I’d like to handle it even more delicately going forward.
